Kristina Chochanova
Kristina Chochanova-Ivanova began her formal dance training at the National School of Dance Art in 2000 and graduated in 2009. That same year, she joined the Sofia Opera and Ballet company, where she has since become a soloist and performed in international guest-performances. Her impressive accolades include a silver medal from the Children's International Competition in Grasse, France, the grand prix from the Le Chausson d'Or Children's International Ballet Competition in Paris, France, and the grand prix at the Anastas Petrov Competition for Young Ballet Performers in 2006. She was twice a laureate of the Sicilia Barocca International Ballet Competition in Italy, where she received first prizes for contemporary dance and classic dance in the senior age category. Additionally, she was a finalist at the First International Ballet Competition in Seoul, Korea, and twice a semi-finalist at the International Ballet Competition in Perm, Russia. She also received a bronze medal and a Nina Kiradzhieva prize from the Varna International Ballet Competition.
